Cakewalk Next makes finding the perfect sound effortless with BandLab Sounds—over 100,000 royalty-free loops, one-shots, and curated packs for any project. Crafted by top producers and artists, every high-quality WAV is ready to drop into your track. From groovy basslines to crisp snares and cinematic textures, the Loop Browser has it all. These sounds are available exclusively with an active BandLab Membership.
To access BandLab Sounds:
- Go to View > Show BandLab Sounds, or
- Press B or F5.
Note: To access content, you must be signed in to your BandLab account (Help > Sign In).
In the Loop Browser, you can browse three main types of content:
- Packs – Curated collections of loops and one-shots designed to work well together. Perfect for exploring a theme, mood, or genre in one go.
- Loops – Short, repeatable audio clips (like a drum groove or guitar riff). When you add them to your project, they automatically match your project’s tempo and can be repeated as long as you like.
- One-Shots – Single audio hits or effects (like a snare hit, vocal shout, or crash). They play once and are great for accents.
You can easily narrow down sounds in two friendly ways: just type keywords into the Search bar or use tags to filter. Simply click the Filter button to see more filter options. You can choose to filter by:
- Genre – e.g., Hip Hop, EDM, Jazz
- Mood – e.g., Upbeat, Chill, Dark
- Key – e.g., C minor, F major
When you find a sound you like, simply drag and drop it onto an existing track to add it there, or below the last track to create a new track with that sound.
