How Do I Insert Audio Plugins in Cakewalk Next?

Audio plugins help make your tracks sound more polished and exciting. Cakewalk Next includes built-in tools like reverb, delay, compression, and EQ—and you can also use your favorite third-party VST effects to shape your sound.

Audio Effects can be applied in the following ways to your project:

  1. Select the track you want to add an effect to.

  2. Open the Track Inspector for that track.

  3. In the Track Inspector, click the [+] under Effects to add a plugin.

  4. Browse the available native plugins and effects using the provided tags.

  5. When you find the effect or plugin you want, click Add to apply it to your track.
