About Track Manager
BandLab Membership
Track Manager is exclusive to active BandLab Membership subscribers.
Track Manager lets you control which tracks and buses are visible in the Track View and Console View, making it easier to focus on specific parts of your project.
You can also create Track Manager presets to quickly switch between different track layouts within a project.
Open Track Manager
You can open Track Manager using any of the following methods:
- Menu Bar > Views > Track Manager
- Track View > Tracks > Track Manager
- Console View > Strips > Track Manager
- Track Manager button (right-click)

Track Manager Button States
The Track Manager button is located in the header toolbar of both the Track View and Console View.
- Show All State
Displays all tracks and buses in both the Track View and Console View.
- Filtered State
Shows only currently visible tracks and buses by hiding any you have previously hidden.
Note
The Track Manager button highlights whenever one or more tracks or buses are hidden, making it easy to see at a glance that the view is filtered.
Track Manager Menu & Options
To open the Track Manager context menu:
- Right-click or Press and hold the Track Manager button
The menu provides quick access to visibility controls, layout presets, and display synchronization.
- Presets
Displays any Track Manager presets created for the project. Selecting a preset restores its saved track visibility.
- Show All Tracks and Buses
Displays every track and bus in the project. Clicking the button again returns to the hidden configuration.
- Show Only
Quickly filters the project display to show only a specific track category (Audio, MIDI, Instrument, Aux, or Folders).
- New Preset
Saves currently visible tracks as a new preset. Available whenever at least one track is hidden.
- Track Manager Dialog
Opens the full Track Manager window to manually check or uncheck visibility for individual tracks and buses.
- Synchronize Views
When active, Track View and Console View share identical visible tracks. When off, each view operates independently.
Track Manager Presets
Track Manager presets allow you to quickly switch between different workspace layouts (e.g., Recording, Mixing, Vocals, Drums, or MIDI Editing).
Create a Track Manager Preset
To create a new preset layout:
- Hide any tracks you don't want included in the preset:
- Right-click a track and select Hide Track, or
- Select one or more tracks and press
Ctrl + H.
- Right-click (or press and hold) the Track Manager button.
- Select New Preset.
- Enter a descriptive name for your layout.
- Click OK.
The preset is saved directly with the current project file.
Load a Track Manager Preset
To switch to a saved layout preset:
- Right-click (or press and hold) the Track Manager button.
- Select the desired preset name from the list.
The visible tracks in your workspace update immediately.
Show Only Specific Track Types
If you want to focus exclusively on a particular type of track:
- Right-click (or press and hold) the Track Manager button.
- Select Show Only.
- Choose one of the following categories:
- Audio Tracks
- MIDI Tracks
- Instrument Tracks
- Aux Tracks
- Track Folders
Only the selected track type will remain visible until you restore the full view or choose another preset layout.
