- Fully backward compatible with existing TH3 and TH2 project files.
- Included automatically with supported Cakewalk software installations.
Full Version Ownership Note
If you already own the commercial full version of Overloud TH-U, installing TH-U Cakewalk will not modify, overwrite, or affect your existing installation or standalone functionality.
Opening Older Projects
Projects or templates that use TH2 or TH3 will automatically load TH-U Cakewalk if the original legacy plugin is not installed on your system.
This automated migration allows older projects to remain fully functional without requiring you to maintain legacy plugin installations.
Troubleshooting Missing Presets
If TH3 is installed on your computer, TH-U Cakewalk may occasionally open without displaying its factory preset library.
Resolution Steps
- Close Cakewalk Sonar or Cakewalk Next.
- Open File Explorer in Windows.
- Navigate to:
%APPDATA%\Overloud - Delete the TH-U folder located inside.
- Launch Cakewalk Sonar or Cakewalk Next.
- Insert TH-U Cakewalk into a track FX Rack.
TH-U will automatically recreate its application data folder upon initialization and restore the full default preset library.
Known Behavior
This is a known initialization conflict with legacy TH3 files. A future maintenance update will resolve this behavior automatically.
