To activate Cakewalk by BandLab, you need to log in to your BandLab account. You can do this by selecting Help from the menu and then selecting Sign In to BandLab.
Once you reach the sign-in page, you will be prompted to enter your BandLab credentials. Provide your login details and click on the sign-in button to proceed.
To log in to your BandLab account, you can use your username, email address, and password. Alternatively, you can sign in using your Google, Facebook, Apple ID or phone number, if your account is linked.
Upon successfully entering your login credentials, a message confirming your sign-in will be displayed on the screen.
After completing the activation process for Cakewalk by BandLab, you should receive a confirmation message indicating that the CbB has been fully activated. This message serves as a confirmation that the activation was successful and that you can now use all the features of Cakewalk without any restrictions.
If you face any difficulties while activating, consider changing your default Web browser as a troubleshooting step.
Note: Opening a Web browser to sign in to BandLab independently will not activate Cakewalk.
If Cakewalk is installed on a computer that is not connected to the internet, you can use offline activation as long as you have access to another computer that is connected to the internet. To use offline activation, follow these steps:
- On the offline computer, generate an offline activation request file in Cakewalk by BandLab (Help > Offline Activation > Export Activation Request).
- Copy the Activation request.crq file to removable media, such as a USB flash drive, that you can transfer to another computer that is connected to the internet.
- On the online computer, launch Cakewalk Product Center, then click Offline Activation.
- Select the Activation request.crq file.
- The app will process the request and return an Activation response.dat file if successful.
- Copy the Activation request.crq file to removable media that you can transfer back to your offline computer.
- On the offline computer, open Sonar or Cakewalk by BandLab and go to Help > Offline Activation > Import Activation Response.
- Select the Activation request.crq file and click Open.
If the response file is valid, the app is activated.
