Cakewalk by BandLab (CbB) has been fully sunsetted and is no longer supported or operational, including activation. As a result, we’re no longer able to troubleshoot or restore CbB installations. We greatly thank you for continuing to support its development and progress over the past seven years since its inception.
The supported path forward is Cakewalk Sonar, which you can download via the Cakewalk Product Center
Cakewalk Sonar is available in two tiers: a Free tier and a Membership (premium) tier.
- The Free tier lets you continue working at no cost.
- The Membership tier unlocks additional features and ongoing enhancements.
When activating Sonar, you do not need to maintain a BandLab Membership if you only want to use the Free tier. During activation, you can simply opt out of the membership and continue using Sonar for free.
Sonar also fully supports opening existing .cwp project files, so you can continue working with your previous projects, plugins, and audio files without interruption.
