Cakewalk, the company, closed in November 2017. Any Cakewalk programs to that date were effectively discontinued by this closure. BandLab acquired the IP and certain related assets to Cakewalk in 2018, and released Cakewalk by BandLab shortly after. Cakewalk SONAR is the rebranding of Cakewalk by BandLab.
You can continue to use any previous Cakewalk software, though it is not being updated or maintained. Users who created a Single Sign On account between 2014 and 2017 can still login to Cakewalk.com, and any programs released from 2015 through 2017 will install and authorize via Command Center.
