Experiencing a crash can be frustrating, but capturing and submitting a crash report helps us identify and resolve issues quickly. Follow these steps to capture and submit a crash report:
First, try to reproduce the crash by repeating the actions that caused it. This ensures the crash report captures all relevant data. Next, locate the crash report.
- On Windows, open File Explorer and navigate to %appdata%\Cakewalk\Next\Crash Reports to find the most recent crash report file.
- On macOS, open Finder, press Cmd+Shift+G to open "Go to Folder," enter /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Cakewalk/Next/Crash Reports, and find the most recent crash report file.
Additionally, gather information about what you were doing when the crash occurred, any error messages, and the frequency of the crash. Include the version of Cakewalk Next and details about your operating system.
To submit the crash report, go to our contact form, fill in the required information, attach the crash report file, add any extra details you noted, and then submit.
