How do I know if Next is up to date?

Keeping your program updated ensures a better user experience by providing access to the latest features and fixes. It also helps maintain compatibility with back-end changes made to the BandLab cloud.

To understand the version of Next you're currently using, select Help > About Cakewalk Next. You should see the version and build date, such as 0.0.14.700, Nov 23, 2022.

Follow any of these steps to search for available updates:

• Upon launching NEXT, click Product Updates on the Start Screen. A notification panel will appear on the right, listing the updates available. Then, click Update.
• On the Main Menu Bar, click Help > Check for Updates. A notification panel will appear on the right, listing the updates available. Then, click Update.

You can check the What's New page, read the Release Notes, or visit the Discuss forum to learn about the latest version of Next.
